Action Alert
National Migration Week 2018: Take action to support DREAMers

Action Alert for National Migration Week 2018

National Migration Week will be celebrated on January 7-13, 2018.
Below is our advocacy action for this year's National Migration Week.
Please send the alert now to your U.S. Senators and Members of Congress!

Dear Senator/Representative:

As a Catholic, I believe in the human dignity of all immigrants and refugees. As we move closer to the end of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, over 800,000 young people who entered into the United States and only know America as their home will face deportation. Every day DACA recipients lose their status and with it lose the ability to go to school, serve in the military and work legally. Our Church stands in solidarity with Dreamers. During National Migration Week, I celebrate the contributions of refugees and immigrants in our churches, communities and in our country. I ask that you, as an elected official:
•   Stand in support of Dreamers
•   Urge your party leadership to initiate and vote for legislation that provides a path to citizenship for Dreamers immediately
•   Take this opportunity to meet with a Dreamer in your community and learn their story.

Sincerely,

Take Action
