Contact your federal lawmakers today to urge co-sponsorship of legislation to repeal the Independent Payment Advisory Board!

Legislation (H.R. 849/S. 260) to repeal the Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB) was recently reintroduced in the 115th Congress by Rep. Phil Roe, MD (R-TN) and Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX). Created by the Affordable Care Act (ACA), the IPAB would have broad authority over Medicare payment policy, placing critical decisions in the hands of a government entity with virtually no Congressional oversight. The IPAB will negatively affect timely access to quality healthcare for our nation’s senior citizens and the disabled, as cuts to Medicare payments could make it more difficult to see Medicare patients or undermine the financial viability of physicians who care for large numbers of Medicare patients.
