Take Action Historic Senate victory -- pro-abortion filibuster disarmed, Gorsuch confirmed!
UPDATE -- APRIL 7, 2017 -- The U.S. Senate today confirmed Neil Gorsuch as an associate justice on the U.S. Supreme Court, by a vote of 54-45.  The vote came one day after a dramatic showdown in which Senate Republicans stood united, employing the "nuclear option" to adopt a new rule (precedent) that broke the power of Senate Democrats to use the filibuster to block the confirmation of Judge Gorsuch or future nominees to the Supreme Court.  To read the National Right to Life press release issued after the final vote, click here.  To view the crucial April 6 and April 7 Senate roll calls, click here.

The original Action Alert, issued weeks before the Senate votes, appears below.
President Trump has nominated Judge Neil Gorsuch to the U.S. Supreme Court, to fill the seat vacated a year ago by the death of Justice Antonin Scalia. Most Senate Democrats are threatening to filibuster the Gorsuch nomination!  This obstructionism is being demanded by militantly pro-abortion advocacy groups.

Republican senators hold a 52-48 Senate majority.  It is essential that the Republicans take whatever procedural steps are necessary to break through the Democratic obstructionism.  The critical Senate roll call votes are likely to occur on Thursday, April 6, or Friday, April 7.  To read National Right to Life's letter to senators urging them to take the steps necessary to break the filibuster, click here.
