During President Obama’s last week in office, the Army Corps of Engineers initiated the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) process which further delays the completion of the Dakota Access pipeline.
Despite this step forward, incoming President Trump signed an executive action on DAPL and the Keystone XL pipeline Tuesday, attempting to undermine the hard won victories we’ve had in this fight.
While these executive memos were largely symbolic and won’t overturn the current EIS process, we know that Trump and his oil industry cronies will stop at nothing to put their bottom line before people and planet.
It ain’t over ‘til it’s over! We will continue to fight Dakota Access and Trump every step of the way.
TAKE ACTION TODAY! Join the national call to action!
Contact the Army Corps before Feb. 20 telling them a full EIS must be completed before moving forward!
