Update: April 11, 2017
Dear Delaware Wine Lovers,
As you know, we’ve been working hard to expand consumer choice in wine in Delaware. Here’s an update, and a request.
Over the past eight years, several wine direct shipping bills have been introduced in Delaware, but each of them has failed to make it out of committee.
Over the past year, a task force of all segments of the wine industry, led by state legislators, has reviewed winery-to-consumer direct shipping and drafted acceptable shipping legislation. However, Delaware wholesaler, unions and retailers remain opposed to any form of shipping directly to consumers.
So where’s the bill? Please help us encourage legislators to introduce the wine shipping legislation considered by this task force.
