NY: Who is looking out for you and your family in Albany?

If the Autism Action Network did not exist who would protect you and your children in Albany? The Autism Action Network is the only autism advocacy organization with a fulltime presence in Albany, and we do it on a fraction of the budget of other organizations. In the last legislative session we met with all 213 State Senators and Assemblymembers or their staffs. We do that every legislative session, and we have since 2005. There is no substitute for being there week after week, and year after year.
We are also the leading organization in New York fighting to protect your vaccination rights. We are pushing hard to pass S6141d/A8123b, our bill to stop school districts from denying religious exemptions from vaccine mandates. We have 41 co-sponsors in the Assembly and 15 in the Senate, the most co-sponsors any bill to protect vaccine rights has ever received. We will be back in January with a new bill numbers, but the same commitment to protecting you and your family.
If you value the advocacy we provide please help us to continue to do so by making a donation to our one fundraiser of the year we do in conjunction with the Autism Community Walk and Resource Fair 2018 at https://grouprev.com/autismactionnetwork2018

Checks can be mailed to Autism Action Network, PO Box 236, Long Beach, NY 11561

We are also working hard to stop really bad bills. Here are a few of them:

  • S52/A1810 would eliminate religious exemptions just like SB 277 did in California,
  • S132 and A933 would make HPV vaccines mandatory to attend school,
  • S5611/A2469 allows minors to get STD vaccines (HPV, Hep B) without parental knowledge or consent,
  • A1230/S3646 would mandate flu vaccines for all children in pre-school or daycare,
  • A3895 eliminates tax deductions for all children who are not-fully vaccinated.

Help us continue to help you.
