The Autism Action Network and the Foundation for Autism Information and Research is partnering with the Autism Community Walk, and our Diamond Sponsor, Focus for Health, to present the Third Annual Autism Community Walk and Resource Fair scheduled for Saturday, October 20, 2018 at beautiful Belmont Lake State Park (Exit 38 on the Southern State Parkway) in Babylon, NY.
This is our one and only fundraiser of the year, and if you value the information, news and means to take action on the vital issues affecting our families provided by the Autism Action Network please make a tax deductible donation to our team in the Autism Community Walk here: https://grouprev.com/autismactionnetwork2018
The Autism Community Walk provides support to research, advocacy and outreach for people affected by autism and developmental disabilities in NY and nationally, by collaborating with scores of groups to get things done for our community.
We will have live music (not too loud), horses, a petting zoon, bag pipers, crafts for the kids, games, face painting, CFCF treats, and scores of informational tables.
This year's Grand Marshal is Katie Wright. Katie has worked tirelessly to support people with autism and their families ever since her own son Christian regressed at age 2 and a half. Katie's parents, Bob and Suzanne Wright founded Autism Speaks following Christian's regression. Katie currently serves on the boards of SAFEMINDS sand Generation Rescue. And we are honored to have her as our Grand Marshall.
The Autism Community Walk is not like your typical walk. Autism Community Walk shares the revenue, and allows nonprofit groups to use the event as a no-cost fundraiser. Dozens of groups have taken advantage of this unusual offer. Contact US for more information (516) 382-0081 or info @autismcommunitywalk.org
